Colorado Homes & Lifestyles Magazine recently featured a beautiful farmhouse remodel in Cherry Hills Village, a suburb of Denver, Colorado. This sprawling homestead on 5 acres of land was envisioned by the homeowners and KGA Studio Architects.
The two-year, “built-to-last” renovation had a goal of connecting the home to a large amount of outdoor space. A home that used as little energy as possible was also important to the overall project.
The entire house was wrapped in insulation board. This was just one of many sustainable features the home was built with, including replacing all of the windows for full, natural light throughout. Back outside, a barn went up, leading to a pond, swimming pool, and tennis courts, engaging the outdoor space and giving it new life. Inside, the kitchen was also given new life.
A full slab of our Calacatta Lincoln Oro Marble, also known as Colorado Yule Marble, was selected for the kitchen countertop to reflect and multiply the abundant natural light in the home. Colorado Yule Marble is quarried deep in the mountains in Marble, Colorado. This popular, highly-sought-after natural stone has been used for centuries, creating well-known monuments such as the Lincoln Memorial and Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers. We directly import the highest quality Calacatta Lincoln Oro marble at all of our showrooms.
“We installed white-marble countertops in the kitchen to reflect and multiply the abundant natural light.”

The kitchen has a modern, Danish style, which was put together by Kaleidoscope Design. The homeowners enjoy cooking as a family, so a large wall was knocked down that once blocked the kitchen from the great room. Now there is room for everyone to enjoy the space.
